Bull shite. Everybody with eyes saw that Welter needed to be on the bench and it took the coaches forever to make the change. I would love to see where this team would be if we would have allowed Harris to play from the get-go especially against the weak foes at the front of the schedule. No, let's start him in our toughest road game than yank him for the rest of the season so we can hand the ball off and play Les Miles football.
There is a problem that is catching up with us. We had two NFL starting wide receivers, a starting NFL running back, and the only SEC quarterback that is starting on an NFL team on last years team. Also, three other offensive guys playing in NFL. Other than last year, our offenses have sucked 5 out of the last six years. If not for our ability to be a great defense, which started with the reputation given to us with Saban, we would be awful. You see how we looked when our defense couldn't carry us earlier in the season. This will get shot down just like the rants about Bowden, Brown, and Paterno did for years. I love Miles as a person, but how many times do you have to listen to his senseless explanations, analysis, etc. to realize he is out of touch?

No, but we should quit acting like we are headed in the right direction, No more contract extensions and start preparing for the transition. Miles belongs on ESPN as a character like Holtz. He's past his day.

I'm not sure what point you're trying to make. I'm not sure you even know what point you're trying to make.

I'm not quite as gifted at explaining the problem as Mr. Miles, obviously. Maybe the quality of the back end of my post was not the intensity that I look forward to.

His contract isn't up 'til 2019. He's not getting a contract extension anytime soon.

I am tired of the mindless Miles bashing but I have come to the same conclusions as you posted in the OP. Beckwith should have started by game 2 but it took two losses to "convince" the coaches he was ready. AJ has convinced me that he cannot make the throws that are required of him in CFB. He has success throwing long because you heave it out there and your guy goes and gets it. Show me a pass he has thrown on rope that hit a receiver in traffic. He also has shown poor decision making particularly holding the ball too long on the pass plays. I do not know what the coaches did not see that everyone else saw in the Ark game that kept him from at least giving BH a try.

I also have not understood why we choose not to throw the short balls when the defense is putting 8 men in the box.
