2nd quarter, 3rd and seven from the Arkansas 10, stupid play.

A button hook to Diarse... who apparently was supposed to lateral it to La'el... problem was that the Arky DB lined up from the very beginning right in Diarse's face and was going to bump him as hard as he could from breaking into a route. Covered like a glove five yards short of the first down, Jennings threw it anyway. No chance at pass interference because Diarse was still well within the legal area for contact.
Now, I don't have a problem with a bit of imaginative play calling every now and then... but HERE? Maybe on third and twelve from the 20 it makes sense. But HERE? Where everybody is crowded around the goal line? With an offensive tackle expected to lug it in?
Why not go with some percentages, instead? Why not line up four or five wide... if you take a sack it doesn't make much difference to the field goal, anyway.

By the way... film study says FOLLOW THE FULLBACK.
If you're the defense and a dlineman or linebacker just go where our fullback goes. There is never any need for you to think. The ball will follow you. If it's a running play, the halfback will follow. If it's play action, Jennings will roll to the fullback's side.

There is no high percentage play in our passing game. The fact that he completed this pass was astounding to me.

Valid criticism. You think Les called that or Cam?

He didn't. It had no chance.

That's right. Still astounding it was more accurate than his normal pass. Looking at you ball that killed Desean Smith.

I'm rewatching the game... lord knows why... missed two field goals? Pshaw. The only reason we ever sniffed a scoring opportunity was because of Arkansas penalties.

I was saddened that Evan Washington gave a blown assignment clinic.

College doesn't have an illegal contact rule. Just can't touch receiver with ball in air. Not the NFL

And Hoko F. Was a turnstile

Once they replaced him at right guard earlier in the season, the offensive line quit being a sieve. Once Porter went down, Dodd should've come in to replace him; instead, moving Pocic to center and bringing in Hoko had the same results as the beginning of the season.

Bingo. This should be lineup for rest of year:
LT - Collins
LG - Vadal/Boutte/etc
C - Dodd
RG - Pocic
RT - Hawkins

It was another personnel mismanagement situation with this coaching staff this year. It's pathetic.

Doesn't exist in college, ref.
