Whatever my sweetie (MHNBPF) is making I will happily eat.

Media Alert - there is a big (dead) frozen turkey in the freezer, a smaller (Dead and frozen) one beside him, a spiral sliced ham in the fridge and four cans of cranberry sauce in the fridge.

Something is going on at my house and I have no idea what.

Either seared duck breasts with a jalepeno blackberry reduction or backstrap picatta. Whatever the wife decides she wants more.

FOUR cans? How much do y'all eat? I figured MHNBPF made her own cranberry sauce.

Think I've asked this question a few times but never got a good answer. Where in the hell can I find fresh breast in the Metairie/ New Orleans area? I checked rouses and whole foods but never could find any.

I don't recall ever seeing fresh duck in a grocery store. I'm sure some have it, but i bet it's few and far between. Frozen is real common though.

Yeah guess I just haven't been looking in the freezer section. Big difference between fresh and frozen duck?

Smorgasbord night.
Leftover quinoa and chicken from last night and chicken parm from todays lunch.

First chicken parm I've had in over 5 years. Not bad, though the sauce is sweeter than I'm used to.

Not much difference in wild fresh and frozen. Certainly not a game changer. Don't have much experience with domestic ducks, but I imagine the same holds true. I don't think you're gonna find fresh in a store anyway so the point may be moot.

Maple leaf makes a good frozen duck breast. Ask the butcher. Calandros often keeps them in the back.
