Of course they are.
Not really no.
"Bad" implies some sort of moral choice. The raptors are not hunting people in the first 3 JP flicks just to be dicks. That are doing it b/c its their instinct to hunt/protect the pack and b/c the only thing they know about humans is getting hit with cattle prods and their eggs getting stolen.
The real bad guys in JP1 are Nedry and Hammond, in JP 2 the hunters trying capture dinos, and in JP3 the its kind of the idiot who steals the egg and the parents that trick Grant into accompanying them.

When referring to "bad guys" in movies, you are referring to the antagonist. The raptors were a main antagonist in JP.
For 1:45 of the movie, we were wanting the "good guys" to survive/win. The main obstacle were the raptors. They were definitely an antagonist.
You're not really this stupid, are you?

That is great, and has nothing to do with the point I am making.

Nope sorry you are incorrect sir. Bad guys does not automatically = antagonist in a movie.

It's obviously blocking off the old park but rumors is there are untrained raptors beyond the wall.

When referring to "the" bad guy, one is almost always referring to the antagonist.
I most definitely was.
In the context of our conversation, it blows my mind that you didn't know this.

New??
So, nobody has ever taken the bad guys from movie one, and had them join up with the good guys in a sequel?
My biggest issue is that it is not new at all.

Then your issue might be the most overblown issue I've heard in a while

It's science fiction, why are people complaining this isn't plausible
Posted on 11/25/14 at 5:19 pm to MrFreakinMiyagi
The problem is that these are animals not an antagonist making a decision to work with the protagonist in a sequel. You are ridiculous.

How did they get away from the raptors in JP?

I know what you said and I just flat out disagree with you that the raptors were the bad guys just b/c they were hunting fools down. Sorry man. They were shite that needed to be avoided but they weren't bad guys. They're just animals doing what they do.
Also, it would be wrong to say the raptors (bad guys) would be teaming up with the humans (good guys) to fight an enemy. They wouldn't teaming up. The damn things would be trained just like how you train a dog, falcon or whatever to hunt. Do you say people are teaming up with their dogs to hunt ducks or is the dog simply an animal doing what its been trained to do?
Hell, do you think the T-Rex teamed up with the humans to save them in JP1 or was it just munching on a raptor snack? Were the bugs in King Kong "the bad guys" too since they ate up a shitload of sailors or were they just big arse bugs happy to eat the meat that fell into their lair?
