I'm guessing the city of BR got tired of the number of wrecks in that area. It's about time.

Watch them pull that same shite they did from E Boyd.

Lights up
No lights, stop sign
Flashing yellow
No stop signs, Flashing red
Lights up
Back to flashing yellow
Lights up

About damn time it was supposed to go up about 8 months ago. I love on Ben Hur and the amount of wrecks and traffic is ridiculous. They also made it no left turn when turning on to burbank so now everyone going to class has to go down and take a uturn.

If we have learned anything, the idiots that travel that area are clueless on how traffic works.

I don't think there are 10% of the wrecks as East Boyd. Seems unnecessary for the over-privileged shite that live there. Learn to drive your daddy's car.

I live near there. The people that come off that street will just find somewhere else to wreck their shite.

oh and you are?

I dont care what you say but having that amount of traffic u-turning infront of oncoming traffic at 55 isnt safe

You can go Nicholson but it's one lane and much slower not to mention the asshats that turn left onto lee holding up traffic.

Better than crossing two lanes at 55. They may eventually put a red light for the uturns too.

I'm shocked that they are putting a light there. As many of you know, BRPD used to setup up checkpoints on each end of Ben Hur Rd. I'm not entirely sure of this. But by law, I don't think they are allowed to setup in that area if a traffic light is in place

I think both are equally bad.

Also, this should cut down on the overwhelming amount of bumper to bumper traffic that happens at the beginning of every semester on that road.

Sometimes this board does a perfect job of reminding me that I'm glad I don't live in Baton Rouge anymore.

I'm 38 and own my home miles away. But yes, I'm jealous I can't live in shitty overpriced student housing.

This is just making things worse. I bet for what it cost to build all those complexes on Ben Hur, they could've leveled Tigerland (minus bars) and built it there. Then no more 90% Section 8 in Tigerland, and the real estate in the area gets a boost.
