Dude just dine and dashed at the restaurant I'm at.

Was eating at a hibachi and it was time to pay the bills. I closed out and the guy had to go to the bathroom. I head outside and I see the guy running towards the restaurant from another direction, grabs his bike and starts peddling. I'm assuming it's not worth going back and telling them at this time but thought it was pretty funny also.
What kind of charge do you get if you get caught doing this?

Did this at Waffle House in high school once. They didn't even try to chase us. It was 3 AM and we were annoying drunk 17 year olds.
I still feel bad about it

My ex told me she would go to Chili's and get appetizers with friends and do this if it was under $20. There's a reason she's my ex. People who dine and dash are trashy.

its actually illegal in many places to stick the server with it.

I had a friend that really wanted to do this back in high school. We told him to go into the bathroom and we'd knock on the door when it was time to run. We went up, paid for all of our food, knocked on the door, and he got his rush that he wanted. We never told him

Did it in HS a handful of times because poor. Got caught once at Denny's and had to pay. This was after we had ordered a Reese's pie and Oreo pie.
