Do you remember your first Amazon purchase? What/When was it?

I don't remember what/when mine was. My purchase history only goes back to '08, but I know I was buying from them before then.

last searchable thing is a usb cable in 2010...definitely had amazon for a LOT longer than that

Mine was a book for my practice that I couldn't through LexisNexis (who was the publisher). It wasn't on their online store. I found it on Amazon. Been hooked ever since.

2012 for the white elephant gift exchange at my company's 2013 trip.
I started late on Amazon. Orders by year:
2012: 1 (see above)
2013: 7
2014: 70
The above numbers are for my current account. I maybe had 1 or 2 purchases in college (04-08).

My history only goes back to 2009. Both were camera related items for a D-SLR we bought that summer. Wife wanted a different lens for it, and I got her a flash/tripod/camera bag/cleaning kit/battery charger combo.
Apparently I got on Prime in late 2011 because I had like 2-3 orders per year until 2012, and then I had 12 in 2012, 28 in 2013, and 22 so far in 2014. Christmas purchases will probably push that north of 30 really soon. And that is just on my account. My wife (no pics) shares the prime account and I'm sure she's ordered a ton of stuff this year and last year. She always gets kids clothes and shoes from Amazon.

2004 - 6 orders (all books and CDs)
2005 - 57 orders (almost all CDs)
2006 - 53 orders (first time I used Amazon for Christmas presents)
2007 - 46 orders (again almost all CDs and books)
2008 - 32 orders
2009 - 9 orders
2010 - 9 orders

This is a couple years before I read the book myself. Really liked it... The movie adaption was pretty good as well I thought. Really enjoyed the concept of the book.
I'm not much of a reader though. I really enjoyed Of Mice and Men (classic) and Wise Blood as well. I need to start reading again.
