arkansas ISN'T a rival. they CREATED the DUMBASS boot to force-frick the idea. everyone else is playing inter/intra-state rivals that week, and we just played arky, who no one gave two shits about next to ole miss/bama/fla/au. it's fricking retarded, if EVERYONE is a rival, no one is.
LA makes a boot. Ar-kansas makes it a hip-wader. have them keep the stupid trophy, melt it down and pay their coach with the gold.

They make a big deal of that hideous boot trophy. If LSU doesn't want to lead them on to believe we are their rival. Win the game, LEAVE THE BOOT. Just let them have it. FOR GOOD.

Arkansas fans are no different than LSU fans in that we never want to lose to ANY team. I look forward to the Hogs beating LSU, Bama, Vanderbilt, etc. I'm not happy when we lose to Auburn, Miss St, Georgia, etc. LSU seems to always have excellent teams, but you're just another "excellent" team that is on our SEC schedule.
The Arkansas Razorbacks have only ONE rival, and LSU certainly isn't it! The "Boot" was a poor attempt to create something out of nothing. Now I hear some marketing firm has been charged with creating a rivalry between AR and Mizzu. That is not how a rivalry is born. I could not care less about the Tigers to the north or south of us.
Yeah, we were excited to win the boot this past Saturday, but I'm sure you can figure out the real reason those 18-22 year-olds sprinted over to capture the prize.

Obviously, there may be some Hog fans that have a personal relationship with an LSU fan, and because of that have a stronger desire for the Hogs to win. Nothing like bragging rights between co-workers, friends, and the like.
But, from a larger perspective...the only rival of the Razorbacks, and the entire state of Arkansas, is the Texas Longhorns! LSU is just another game. Bama is just another game (though I'm getting tired of losing). Hell, we'll cheer for you guys when you're playing teams outside the SEC.
In 2021, when the Texas Longhorns return to Fayetteville, then you will see who we consider our rival. And yes...we're already counting down! That WILL be our "Super Bowl".

In baseball, absolutely.
In football, I hate all you SEC frickers. Every single one of you, and when Arkansas is playing well, I take no more pleasure in beating LSU than I do any other SEC sword swallower.
By the way, there's many Hog fans who hate that hideous trophy, too. I'm one of 'em. But that boat anchor was an idea born out of the SEC home offices, not out of Fayetteville. Stop blaming Arkansas for it. Your POS university signed off on it, too.
One of you corn dog smelling frickers suggested melting it down and paying CBB. And with the Arkansas part that's probably okay. I'm good with that.
But I'd suggest you take the Louisiana part, melt it down, and buy an offensive coordinator, or at least someone who can teach your center that it's not necessary to snap the ball 30 yards deep in a shotgun formation.
LSU our biggest rival? You were last Saturday until the Razorbacks pulled down your pants and punked you on national television, and then shut out that pathetic group that you call an "offense".
"LSU Offense"? Good God! That's the biggest oxymoron in college football.
This week, the biggest Razorback rival is Ole Miss. After that, it will be Mizzou. Before them, it was LSU.
Like I said. I hate all you SEC frickers, and I'm glad you hate Arkansas, too. It just makes it that much more fun.

I call BS on this. I live here in Arkansas with many Hog friends and able to watch local sports programming.
I can tell you that LSU, for some reason, is at the top of their rival list. Players interviewed have said that they could go 1-11 for the season as long as they beat LSU.
The fact that LSU was the team that the Hogs beat to end the losing conference skid was perfection in their minds.

I live in Little Rock and have lots of Arky friends. They all have told me that LSU has replaced Texas for hatred. They have permanent little brother syndrome. And that ugly trophy was designed by a cheese ball douchy ex players of theirs. Don't let anyone kid you when they say they don't care about us. Just look at how their players ran across the field to get the trophy we use as a door stop.
