DIDN'T GET IT - That elusive 60th vote for Keystone tomorrow in the Senate ?

"independent Senator Angus King of Maine said he "probably" would vote against approving the oil pipeline. King added that he would make his final decision during the vote "when they get to the Ks" in the roll-call."
With Rockefeller and Levin announcing today they would vote against it, it looks like the last hope for #60 is King - and based upon that answer, he's going to be enjoying his moment in the limelight. Wouldn't surprise me if he does not respond in the first call of the roll and delays till close to the end of the voting time to build the suspense.
Whichever way he votes, he's not going to have to pay for his own drinks for the next six months.

I don't even understand why anybody would be against it.

Keystone has become pretty irrelevant as a critical energy issue, NH; more symbolic. Don't much matter now what the yahoos in the Senate do. Or Obama, for that matter. A few good jobs if it goes through; but not much will turn around until Obama leaves town and the strangle-hold on the economy lifts.
Fox Business New's Maria Bartoleroma had stats that put real unemployment at about a third...and another stat that said that 93% of the *jobless* DID NOT want a job. Why work for minimal pay when the Obama subsidies pay more.
Same with ISIL...if we had a real leader up there, those sociopaths would be living underground with the rats instead of televising their beheadings and gloating in their new found notoriety.
Disgusting.

Are they voting on the "Cassidy Keystone Solution" or a different bill?

It's my understanding that the Senate will vote on the Hoeven Senate Bill (S.2280) and if it were to be approved, it would then vote on the identical language Cassidy House Bill (H.R. 5682). This eliminates the need to send the Senate Bill to the House and to conclude the passage process on the spot in the Senate and begin the 10-day signing period immediately. If passed, it would likely be known as the "Bill to Approve Keystone XL Pipeline (S.2280/H.R.5682)", and then if signed be given a "Public Law" number .

That guy isn't close to being an independent if he votes against this. Polls show that the only only ones who oppose Keystone are far left liberals. moderate libs, independents, and conservatives all majority support Keystone
