Thoughts so far, nerds?

I don't like the no email app anymore, you have to add that account into Gmail now.

They put all your tabs in the bottom right with previous used apps but you can change that back.

Phone thing seems to be back to just one big merged group of contacts as far as I can tell so you have to search by name or sift through every tard you've ever emailed when trying to make a call.

I didn't think I'd remember how to add the email account again but I got it.

I also have the cover app and it was making me swipe through that then swipe again to unlock after the update so I had to set to no unlock mechanism or whatever.

Is the new Messaging app "Messenger" a default app on there? I was trying it out over the weekend and really like it. I'd put it above Hangouts. Although I've gone back to Textra because of some features it has that are hard to leave

God damn Samsung/ATT shite. I am going to have to wait so long for lollipop and might never get an AOSP lollipop.

I have a job interview tomorrow, and if I get it (and the 100% pay raise) I will be buying an unlocked bootloader phone ASAP after my first paycheck hahaha

Yeah, it still has the shitty Messaging app. I really like Messenger, too.

Honestly, I really dig it. I've had it on my Nexus 5 for about 5 days now and I have very few complaints. The only knock I have is that I was using Sunrise calendar and it stopped loading my exchange info. I believe it is due to 5.0 not using the "mail" app, since I tried deleting it and now if I try to add it back I get "no exchange accounts available" or something of the sort. I've gone back to the stock google calendar for now, but I'd like to use sunrise again. UI is pretty slick overall. I really like the new notification panel. I don't see myself using that health app.

the fit app is pretty mundane and an unnecessary battery drain.

it was neat for a day or two.

I'm liking it. It is solid and fast.

It could use some more customization features though. But as with Android iterations these things will come in revision bumps.

Oh and I miss Xposed like a motha. Sooooo many "features" missing without that framework.

But overall I'm impressed so far.

I opened it once to see what it was. Almost signed up/logged in then I figured it would be basically what you just said and closed it out. I don't have any use for any of that

Not a fan of how lollipop handles music streaming apps. Kit Kat was more aesthetically pleasing

1) dont like cheesy PlayStation buttons

2) don't like how recent/ multitasking has cards. It is more visually pleasing but less functional since you can't see previous cards as well

3) don't like notification pull down tab since you have to pull it, then lift off the screen, then pull again to get to the bottom of that menu

4) don't like new battery usage in settings since it doesn't say time off charger.

These are my only complaints. There are many things I like though (speed, animations, settings layout, colors, ART....)

I'm loving lollipop. I don't care about the email app because I've been using inbox instead, which I also love. It helps to keep me so much more organized.

It did some adaptive brightness thing yesterday which means dim the phone while you are trying to use it as its getting dark outside. Had to turn that off.

Does the interruptions thing mean that it will still go off for the things you select even if the phone is on silent?

I think you set up exceptions when you have it turned on. Like, don't bother me unless my girlfriend or work calls, things like that. I haven't used it, but I'd maybe try it out during a meeting.

I like that if I'm watching something and get a call, I only get a notification that I can cancel without leaving my video. It's nice when I'm using my slingplayer app that's a pain to start up again.
