The only time I can remember it being close to this bad from a fan enthusiasm perspective is during the last stages of the Dinardo era. I keep telling myself we have some great young players but the coaching (or lack thereof) is really concerning me. Miles looked the most dejected I've seen him in the Arky post game interview. Age considering, I have this feeling his tank is starting to run dry. I know a lot of LSU fans don't like Miles and welcome this but in spite of the money he makes, I feel bad for him. Just my thoughts on a Monday afternoon.

Why do you feel bad for him? He has only himself and his staff to blame for this mess.

This is what happens in Baton Rouge when your tank runs dry...

I know...they lost that game to Arky that I was referring to. They ran it down our throats.

I remember attending the last game of the year (Arkansas) and playing for a low tier bowl game and there was only 45,000 in the stands.

What year was this? We did not go bowling.....

I think Mile's is just as baffled by Jennings as we are. My guess is he's not playing like he practices. They've probably been waiting for him [Jennings] to turn the corner with his game performance, and it's finally dawning on Miles and Co. that this isn't going to happen. Unfortunately, it may be a bit too late.

I think he is emotionally drained, and IMO rightfully so. His mother died and that is tough no matter your age. We will never know what player issues he is having to deal with. Very emotional game with Ole Miss, then yet another heartbreaker to Bama. Not to mention he has to deal with absolutely the worst fan base in the SEC (and that hurts to type). I'm sure some jackass will comment and say that's why he gets paid the big bucks, and that's true to an extent.

I think you're thinking of Hallman in '93. They had 2 backs go for over 100. Cost us a bowl bid. 98 we lost at arky to go 4-7. 99 we won with Hal Hunter as the interim and he had enough foresight to start Roban, who flat out up the pigs.

Actually, we beat the shite out of them with Rohan at QB and we had an interim head coach.

Jennings has shown little to no improvement over the course of the season, so it's not like he all of a sudden starting sucking. He was always bad.

Yeah, we were 2-8 going into the game and beat #17 Arkansas 35-10. Pretty glorious game. That was actually a year that we lost a lot of close games.. 22-23 against Georgia, 16-17 against Mississippi St., 17-23 Against Alabama

Imagine if Les had the team at 2-8 one year

I felt bad for Miles once.

Then I remembered he receives about $100k every 2 weeks after taxes and I got over that quickly.

If you can't stand the heat, then get out of the kitchen. If he's getting tired, then maybe it's time that he voluntarily steps down before things get ugly for him.
