He's one of the moodiest posters here. Maybe even #1.

Maybe it's because my arguments contain stats, support, articles, etc that are conducive to solid hoops discussion. I've brought up lots of topics that have lead to long worthwhile discussions here.

I feel you. I'm sorry for calling him out on this thread.
I thought the difference in FT attempts between a "super star" and an above average player is ridiculous. I now know why my dad completely gave up on the NBA after the Malone/Stockton & MJ era (of course other reasons as well)

Numbers are great when comparing players who have similar resumes but when they are as lopsided as the resumes betwen Davis and Howard, one season of stats doesn't prove a whole lot.

Hell NO. When has Davis carried a team on his back to the playoffs?

I'm the idiot yet you think Houston will lose this series. I have seen it all.

yea good effort with that but thats not even close to me trashing PER
Posted on 11/17/14 at 4:49 pm to Boomshockalocka
Close enough. It should at least get 2 weeks instead of a month.
Posted on 11/17/14 at 4:51 pm to Fun Bunch
no it's not. IF you're gonna call someone out and say they posted something you need a better case than that. Stuff like this happens on a weekly basis around here someone says I've posted something that I didn't. I say show me the post. They can't. Rinse and repeat. I'm getting tired of all of the *intellectual dishonesty*.

You insinuated that PER isn't good when comparing Dwight and AD because one took his team to the finals ages ago and has been in the league for years, the other was 2 years and now 3. He's posting up better PER numbers than anyone, including LeBron who has made Jordan look a bit more mortal when factoring in PER.
That's pretty much what you did.

Exactly what Ive said all along.
PER is great, but not the end all be all.
I have been 100% consistent with my views on PER.
Did I ONLY post PER to compare Evans to Harden? NO I posted 4-5 different measurements (read: PER is great, but not the end all be all)
Is PER flawed? Absolutely for instance the block % that makes up a portion of PER doesn't take into consideration whether a shot is at the rim or is midrange. But overall it does a great job. Cheers to Hollinger.

I could've sworn this board is for Pelicans fans... Is it not? And if it isn't, when did it change?

basically only difference in Harden gets to line 10 more times a game
Which is huge. I havent watched the Rockets much this season, but Harden is absolutely lethal with the ball in his hands.

quote:If that's what we're doing then you can increase Harden's FG% and 3pt% to his career averages.
True but Tyreke is roughly a career 77% from the stripe.

there is a crazy obsession for calling out non-Pelicans fans on here
and major insecurity of Pelicans fans to get upset over small things
