This is the Victorinox Summit XLT that I have. Has held up extremely well considering the abuse that I put watches through. I've owned it for five or six years, and only had to replace the battery once, and never polished the glass. My Rolex needs the glass polished at leasat once a year, and I don't wear it in as many places, so you get an idea of how it holds up. IIRC, it was only like $180 at jomashop

Jomashop is where it's at. I almost bought that exact watch but decided on the luminox

Marathon or Reactor.
Marathon is mechanical.

Marathon has quartz models also. For a good deal cheaper than their auto versions.

I think I only paid around $600 for my Marathon mechanical. That was awhile back, though.

1st choice: G-shock
2nd: TAG
2nd: TAG

The prices of Marathon watches doubled randomly for some reason, but they do make both kinds. I am gonna get one when money allows. Extremely solid watches, but too big for some people

Hamilton khaki or Tissot viso date or le locle. Those both have chrono options in other lines
I have a Victorinox chrono xls that is fantastic.
Consider a used omega speedmaster though.
Christopher ward has great watches as well.
Orient USA and seiko 5 are good low budget options
Citizen sky hawk(?) has a slide rule

Citizen nighthawk is my hunting/fishing/beater. Great watch with the exception of the mineral glass. It's bangs up easy. I used to wear a marathon sar (auto) but got tired of cleaning blood off...the citizen, well, I just don't care if it dies or gets destroyed.

Really like my Guess watch that I've had for a few years now and I wear it to the office but also keep it on for recreational activities as well.

mineral glass.
Yeah that and the seiko are the only mineral glass. I'm really liking the Hamilton stuff

What Hamilton do you like? I haven't seen anything interesting from them.

That's too much, then.
The tritium vials fell off the dial. I sent it in for for repair.
Later, a few others fell off. It's about 7-8 years old though, so maybe thats to be expected.
Mett, after a rocky start, is doing well.

I've had a Citizen EcoDrive for several years. It has held up well to a lot of abuse. Only thing I didn't like about the watch was the ugly leather band that came on it.

Invicta- I wanteded a plastic body to stay light and for some reason I hit every corner ,truck door etc... and the metel body will leave a scratch, mark. . And the plastic keeps the damage to a minimum.

Citizen Eco-drive nighthawk. Check it out and thank me later
I love it. Thin profile, titanium, so it's very light and matte black.

I'd love something I could wear hunting and to the office(engineering/construction) and not look out of place but that might not be possible.
Search amazon for Seiko Diver.
You're welcome

Been wearing a luminox the past few years to hunt and work. Mines an all black chronograph with the date. Has been a good watch.

One more try. Classy automatic that will last for decades. Wear with dressed up leather or NATO or rubber bands...$450, 42mm, sapphire crystals, stainless case, Miyota movement. B-Uhr Pilot.

With a little trickier finish.

You'll have to focus on the lugs to make sure you get the one you want, but this is my new recommendation.
