SLU should get the home game, not SHSU. If we both win out, SLU would have the better record. Seems to me SLU should at least have one home game. Last year we had a bye and then a home game. I must be missing something.

In the first round home games are decided on who bids more money to host. So really SLU could host or not host depending on who they play, schools like Montana and UNI though typically put in strong bids. Schools like SDSU or Indiana State not so much.
Obviously if you are seeded like SLU was last year it doesn't matter. You would host the game unless you are playing a higher seed.

Thanks. I figured we were number 10 so we would at least host one since we hosted two last year, considering that we put in good bids this year like last. I am not looking forward to Illinois State, but it is what it is. We are undefeated at home, but we were last year and dropped a close one to New Hampshire.

2 Illinois State teams this year. A dominant one that could take out a quality FBS team and a mistake prone middle MVFC team. Very rarely put together a full game. Maybe played a solid quarter at UNI.
So frustrating even though they only have 1 loss.

If they space them out right there could very easily be 3 mvc teams in semis.
But I will guarantee that UNI gets NDSU in the quarters.

Big games for the weekend....
Fordham at Army, Fordham wins they get a seed
Liberty at Coastal, Liberty gets auto bid with a win
Richmond vs William and Mary, elimination game for both
Samford vs Auburn, Samford will get in with a very unlikely win
Indiana St vs Western Ill, ISU elimination game
NC A&T vs NC Central, A&T wins they get auto bid
Youngstown vs NDSU, Youngstown elimination game, NDSU playing for #1 seed
UCA vs Sam St, Sam wins share of SLC and playoff bid
SMS vs UNI, UNI elimination game
Montana vs Montana St
Robinson Award finalist
Beau Baldwin, Eastern Washington
Rod Broadway, North Carolina A&T
Clint Conque, Stephen F. Austin
Marty Fine, Bryant
Broderick Fobbs, Grambling State
John Grass, Jacksonville State
Dean Hood, Eastern Kentucky
Russ Huesman, Chattanooga
Chris Klieman, North Dakota State
Mike Kramer, Idaho State
Dale Lindsey, San Diego
Sean McDonnell, New Hampshire
Joe Moglia, Coastal Carolina
Tim Murphy, Harvard
Tony Reno, Yale
Mike Sanford, Indiana State
Brock Spack, Illinois State
Mark Speir, Western Carolina
Joe Susan, Bucknell
Everett Withers, James Madison
Just my opinion it should be Brock Spack from unranked to possible MVC champion this year.

ESPN announced the Kickoff FCS game is
Montana @ NDSU next year. Montana will have a new coach as theirs is retiring at end of the season.

I think this is how the auto qualifier is earned in SLC now
If Sam St loses it Southeastern
If Sam St wins it depends on the Northwestern SFA game.
If Northwestern wins it's Southeastern
If SFA wins it's Sam St
The conference may want SFA to win to guarantee 2

If they win today then I agree as they will split the MVC with NDSU (more than likely). Can see Moglia getting a lot of love too.

Bad news for SLU fans so far, Fordham leads Army in 2nd
But good news Fordham just threw a pick on the Army 20.

ISU up 23-0 in the 3rd.
NDSU up 14-0 in the first (as of 5 mins ago)
Looks like co champs in the Valley.

SLU now needs a top 8 upset
I don't know score on Unh they were losing last I saw.
I just don't think SLU gets a seed if top 8 don't lose today.

Congrats to Redbirds
Normal in November eff that
SLU may have got the help with Coastal loss but don't think so. I think UTC needs to lose
Nova has won
Jax St

Not too bad today. 40 and light rain. This week's been hell. First day over 32 this week and it's over. Could be bitter cold for the playoffs.

Nothing is as bad as playing last game of year at Youngstown though. They had a lake effect snow there twice when we went thee.

If Liberty won SLU maybe the only SLC team as they got auto bid.
The MVC probably lost a 5th team with that also.
