Does Les realize he can run a power style running scheme out of spread?

Its so ignorant that he constantly sees 8, 9, and sometimes 10 man boxes but yet still runs from the 2 Tight end I formation. Teams just gamble against us and hope jennings shits the bed on playaction plays. When you line up with 3 or 4 wide in a pistol or Shotgun set, you force defenses to open up. You can pull Guards, tackles, and put receivers/Tight ends into motion to help lead blocking for a power back. Its not fricking rocket science,

I just dont get the premise of lining up and running right into a wall over and over and over and then run a playaction out of it with a go route or a curl with 1 maybe 2 receivers. Its just frustrating as hell, we dont have to be super sophisticated, just give the SEC defenses who are all talented something different to look at. If not year after year we will constantly get worse!

He figures he can beat every team, except Bama with his base offense. It's an arrogant attitude that I'll line up in my base formation and beat you because you don't have the men to match up.

Which now days is bullshite, because everyone knows what we are doing. So now teams just gamble by loading the box up and blitzing gaps. You cant always out muscle teams that are just as strong as you are, its fricking retarded, sometimes you have to out smart an opponent.

This is Les Miles we're talking about. They could have 15 players in the box and he'll still run the skinny pitch up the middle. He's seriously a moron

We had success running out of a 3 WR set against Wisconsin, but we haven't seen much of that formation since. I haven't even seen the route combination that led to the score by Diarse. There are things that will work, if they are utilized, but we'll just try to out muscle teams and keep our defense on the field for 4 qtrs.

Thats what Im talking about. What about the drive vs Arky when we opened it up and Jennings moved the ball down the field only to come up with a fumble. Looking beyond the fumble, he actually moved the ball much easier than any other drive in the game. What does that fricking tell you?!

I don't think there's anything wrong with the scheme itself when you have a QB who can execute because that forces defenses to not put 8-10 guys in the box.
Problem is we don't have a QB who can execute right now.

My issue is the outright refusal to alter the scheme at all even though you know your QB will struggle.

I think the scheme could be useful with a good QB, because Mett proved it, but you meed a pro style QB.

38 rushing yards . No change is necessary. We will have the exact same gameplan against A&M. Watch

It's simply amazing how behind the times this offense is. With the talent we have at RB and WR it is criminal that Les is still intent on lining up with 2TE and 1WR on the field. The offense is an absolute joke. Take away 2007 and Miles would be facing the criticism as Muschamp was at Florida.

The defense turned a corner during the season but just like we've seen at Florida in the last 4 years, the offense is so god-awful we have no chance of being a successful football team.

With probably the same results unless A&M's DC is deaf, blind, and dumb. If that is the case, we'll probably hire him.
