Would any of you ironically purchase a "Saints 2014 NFC South Champion" shirt or hat if we pull it off with a 7-9 or 8-8 record?

Do you think that we'd have a ceremony before the first home game next season to unveil the championship banner?

Here's the Seahawks raising their 7-9 banner at first game of 2011

Would be a great accomplishment. Having one of the worst teams in a decade and still winning division.

Well Atlanta has Cleveland and Arizona, we have Baltimore and Pittsburgh so we could both be 4-8 and still tied for first

I'm with that.

It's a funny season. And interestingly enough, just like in the past, we're likely going to cause the NFL to change some rules, just like they did by imposing the "Brett Favre OT rule" after beating the Vikings a couple seasons ago.

Consider- despite the current losing streak, the Dome can be a great home field advantage. If we sneak in as NFC South champs, we're the #4 seed (the division champs are always 1-4). All non-champs are 5-8. So, we would host the 1st game. The Dome, despite our current losing streak, is a hell of a home-field advantage in the playoffs.

Consider also, the way it's laying out. Right now, we're talking about playing either Dallas or Philly here, in the Dome, where we could win if the team plays like it did against Green Bay. Depending on how things fall, that might be the toughest game we face.

We might get Arizona in the next round, and they no longer have a QB, and aren't playoff-tested. Forgetting records, we have a decent shot at making that a shootout, and we should win if that happens.

Then, there's a very real possibility that Seattle or San Fran upsets the other home team, and that would mean the NFC Title game would be... in the Dome.

If somehow that all comes to pass, you KNOW the rules would be altered to account for records
