Les Miles is absolutely killing this team at this point.

So we have seen Les Miles return back to "in the bunker" mode hoping that his defense wins the football games for him and just hopes the offense doesn't screw it up. You can not have the lack of QB production like we have had the past 2 games without that kind of mentality. I don't know if people understand how bad our QB play was but it has seen a low that I don't even think we saw with JJ under center that is how bad this truly is. 12/22 for 87yds plus 14yds rushing, oh yeah and a costly fumble that put the final nail in our coffin and the "supposed" future of LSU football at the QB position doesn't see ONE snap!!!! The more I think about it the more I feel this is a bad twilight zone episode, then I bring myself back to earth reminding myself that Les Miles is our head coach.

So there is a perfect opportunity last night to get Harris some meaningful playing time because Jennings plain and simple was not getting it done. Yet Miles with no other explanation other than "he felt Jennings gave us the best opportunity to win" will not try anything different other than what is not working. Miles stubbornness to affect change with something that is not working, is literally killing this team.

So Miles must be planning on Jennings being the starter going forward even through next year because Miles won't even put in Harris when, because of Jennings abysmal performance, the situation basically dictated a change to try and get something going. Yet all Miles could do is walk around with his head up his arse trying to continue pounding a square peg into a round hole. Does Miles even understand that we have 2 tough SEC games next year within the first 3 games "Miss St & Auburn."

So everything in the world last night including Jennings performances prior to last night basically dictate a change at the QB position and we didn't see one. So does anyone expect anything different next game? I for one at this point don't expect anything different, Miles is going to continue to try and hammer that square peg into a round hole. And we keep asking ourselves why guys like Noil, Jones, Robinson, Willis & Collins leave the state, at this point I truly can't blame them.

The decline is real, 13-1, 10-3, 10-3 now 7-4 that probably ends at 8-5. This shite just got real, real fast!

I have no idea what is going on not getting Harris into the game.

It is kinda nuts.

Either he really isn't ready, which he should be ready enough at this point, or Les is sheltering him trying to prevent him from getting lit up and ruined like Jarrett Lee.

If there were any real sports journalists out there in newspaper, blog, or TV-land, one of them might try a simple question when he tries this same tired cop-out. That question would be something like: "OK, Coach Miles, if you think he offers us the best chance of winning, can you explain in simple terms why that is? Can you explain how Jennings is superior to Harris at this time?"

Just like the decline was real in 2008. Give me a break. Two weeks ago everyone in this town was talking 10-2 and possible SEC West champ.

Are there issues sure.

Next you're going to tell me Sumlin and Malzahn are better coaches the Miles??

Malzahn is a better football coach than Miles. That seems clear to me and everyone that is not an LSU fan.

Not the realistic among us.

We knew that while it was technically mathematically possible, a lot of things had to fall into place. Too many, really. And very few did.

I will bet you anything you want that Malzahn wins an SEC championship before Miles does going forward!!!! I won't even talk Naty because Miles won't win another one!!!

This is what gets me. I like Jennings, and want him to succeed here. At some point, you have to try something different though. Jennings is average at what they're asking him to do (hand the ball off, make simple throws into the flats off PA, etc.). Shouldn't Harris be able to do that by now? They could protect Jennings' psyche by playing Harris a little more. Right now Jennings is the No. 1 target for the fan base. It's not fair to either player right now IMO.

Maybe he will. But Auburn has 3 losses and probably will end up with 4 and Sumlin has 4 and if we beat him will have 5.

So in the grand scheme of this year they are no better then Miles.

Plus if Miles had the defenses of Sumlin and Malzahn people would be screaming holy hell.

They are building programs. Miles is unraveling ours. Big difference.

You are also fricking up the grand scheme of things.

In the grand scheme of things, both of those replaced coaches who were let go.

Miles took over for a guy who received total control of an NFL franchise.

Both are head and shoulders better coaches and recruiters than Les Miles.

There's your grand scheme.

Nope you are wrong, Auburn beat the shite out of LSU this year so Malzahn game planned better than Miles this year. And if TAMU beats us next game, and I can tell you I wouldn't bet a penny that LSU wins that game at this point, then both teams would be ranked higher than LSU and both coaches would be better than Miles THIS YEAR.

THIS YEAR.
And since THIS YEAR represents the present, and previous years the past, how do you move forward into the future? One coach is on a flat plane, maybe a declining one. The other two seem to be on an upward slope.

I think we're saying mostly the same thing.
