Solid Western.

Character piece...enjoyed the small story and desperation of the time and place...it felt dirty and real. A study in loneliness and struggle on the plains.

Quirky, engaging, sometimes head-turning uncomfortable, amusing and very well acted.

Don't want to spoil it - So I'm just going to say: If you are watching just waiting for the action to kick in - It's not. It's a different movie than I thought it would be.

Yeah, the 3rd act is shocking...

I was really rooting for her...I felt for her...her character was so good. The movie is pretty raw.

There are so many historical stories of people heading West and eventually ending up mad...during hard cold winters and isolated in the settling of the West.

I thought the movie portrayed it well. Brave souls who didn't really know what they were getting into.

There's a wonderful reality series called "Frontier House" about contemporary people trying to recreate homesteaders in the West.

Everything is preparation for loneliness and chopping wood for the winter - on a daily basis. The struggle to survive.
