Sturgill Simpson adds second show tonight in Dallas.

First show sold out a month ago. It is at a small 400 people club in Deep Ellum. I may head over after the game.

My buddy says his show is sold out in Portland and people are asking $150 on stub hub (for a $15 ticket)

That's what happened here too. I heard $300 was the asking price earlier today. But now they have added the second show so I scooped up 2 tix for $15.

I'm a huge fan of Chris Jacobs who is opening for him, and didn't even know that much about Sturgill and his music...I do now. Dude is awesome! I'm on waiting list for tonights show, doubt I'll make it.

That guy was good. He had a home made cigar box guitar he played slide on that sounded great.

Listen to his band The Bridge, they have broken up, but I've heard they might be getting back together. He does a lot of stuff with people from New Orleans also.
I came across him and The Bridge by accident one day when I walked into Cactus records here in Houston and they were doing an in store performance....they were awesome. Finished the set with version of Little Feat's Willin...I was a fan from then on.
