The reason Evangel beat St. Paul's per Coach Dawson

God was on their side. Do people not realize the flip side when they say this?
"I felt like at the end, that's a God thing — no person could take credit for it," said Evangel coach Byron Dawson. "I feel like it was angels in the end zone that helped us on that play.
"I feel like God honored our kids' hard work and sacrifice, and it got us to the next round of the tournament. We were holding on for deal life in the second half — we were wore out and tired. But we've had some tough games this year, and we learned from those situations."

God also let them play a bullshite 3A schedule and get a home game vs. 5A St. Paul's they didn't deserve because the LHSAA royally fricked up the Division I power rankings.

Evangelical Protestants really believe this. It's not just Evangel.

I think that God was also honoring their school when the coaches were banging their cheerleaders.

God is on our side was a Pittman quote years back when Evangel played St James. God hates Saints.

What an arrogant, hypocritcal thing to say, especially in a news paper.
Pray for a safe game for the players and safe travels for the fans but for a win?
C'mon man.
Hope John Curtis hangs 70 points on them.

Considering that some of the schools whose administrators were responsible for "the pay in class BS". Which got us to where we are now.....looks like karma is indeed a bitch

They all believe that at Evangel. One Sunday morning a few months ago, I was flipping through the channels and their pastor, Denny Duron, was on and said that God wants Evangel to win every game because they put God first.
