How's Pierre Desir doing? I wished we could've snagged him when he was falling in the draft

The reality is we (and the Saints more than likely) though Champ Bailey had one more year in him. Couple that with a returning PRob and a Corey White with tons of experience from the previous year; we thought we had a solid 4 with Keenan Lewis.

Add Byrd and Vaccaro patrolling the backfield and the secondary was loaded! Taking a project at corner wasn't a bad thing.

But then the season started.

He has.
He also played reasonably well in the preseason.

Why does local media suck so bad that this question is never asked?

What's to ask? Everybody has already figured out that he's not good right now. That would be about as useful as asking a question about Nick Toon.

"He's a real raw guy. We got a raw kid, a piece of clay there, but he has a lot of ability," Saints defensive coordinator Rob Ryan said of the 6-foot-3, 218-pounder last week. "These big corners are in vogue now because they do some many things to take away the vertical ball and things like that. We're excited about his progression. He's worked really hard, but again we took a piece of clay there and we're betting on the come with him."

Give the dude some time to develop.

Same goes for this team. We have a lot of games left to sort out some fixable issues. Be patient quit acting like gossiping whores sitting around the knitting circle.

He's not written off, but there's a massive red flag when an UDFA from Northwest Missouri State is getting exponentially more playing time than the 2nd Rounder from Nebraska.

A wasted pick. You don't spend a draft pick, much less a high draft pick on a project player.

Meh. That isn't always true.

The saints just need to stop wasting picks on cb's.

It's evident at this point that our scouting dept cannot evaluate cb's at all.

We need to stick with fixing cb in the FA market. Outside of Jason david, our two best cb's in this decade have come that way.

The funny thing is that he wasn't even classified as an UDFA. He was a rookie tryout. As in, he was the bottom of the barrel.

Definitely a total miss by this staff. They do much better in the late rounds. Hard to figure....
