Alexis Ajinca just committed another foul

good to see it wasn't just me getting annoyed with the worst officiating ever

Come on refs. We get it. But you can't just change the rules.

Honestly if I was an assistant coach I would tell Monty I'm getting a tech right now because this officiating deserves to be ridiculed.

The refs are trying so hard. The Pelicans are so hot that even 8-on-5 isn't enough.

Hip checking now legal when up 45.

ESPN Stats & Info ?@ESPNStatsInfo 1m1 minute ago
The Pelicans are the 1st team in NBA history to shoot 65 percent from the field and make 15 3-pointers in a game (H/T @EliasSports)

I really like Fisher's work, but he's got a lot of McNamara in him.

I do to, and I agree on that
it seems like they both are convinced that their mission in life is to drag the unwashed and uninformed masses into enlightenment
a good example is the rivers extension debate...they both went on and on about how declining it as dumb because it didn't really help the cap, which is true in a vacuum, but acted like this was a truth nugget only they knew about. as though demps/et al didn't already have that info
It's annoying

they are both terrible. Phelps is a little more tolerable.

Yep. And FIsher's tweet makes no sense; the Wolves were missing 2 of their best 3 players and just had to trade away a top 10 player in his prime- you know like the Pelicans 4 years ago. Of course they are going young- every team that meets that fate does. They could still decide to follow Demps's Young Vets plan.
The fact that both guys felt the need to comment on the rebuild after one blowout win in mid November is fascinating.

the fact that both have jobs is even more fascinating.

TO be fair FIsher does good work; McNamara has even toned it down some in his articles. But, god, they can be insufferable in their righteousness.

i do appreciate that they cover the team with such…let's call it fervor.
but
is an understatement. it's awful sometimes

I didn't really want to say anything about it, because I generally think it's in bad form to complain about anything when your team is up by a million points.
But, when AD got raped in the shoulder in the 3rd quarter in front of God and everybody -- and didn't get a call -- and then we were getting foul calls for looking at the TWolves too much, I almost lost my shite. The refs were flat-out trying to make a game of it. There's no way you could watch that shite and say otherwise.
As far as an in-game product, really that's just about the only thing the NBA needs to clean up: The refs making decisions in an effort to try to affect the outcome of the game.

This.
They did everything they could to keep it close, but the TWolves sucked and we couldn't miss. There were a lot of bullshite fouls called in the 3rd.
