Ubisoft is going to take a beating, justified or not, for their upcoming releases.

They will be hit for every review embargo they put out, as they should be.

Idk, FC3 was solid on PC and completely different team from ACU or Watch Dogs.

Preordered on PS4 either way but I'll get it on PC on sale down the road like FC3.

You obviously didn't play it at release on PC. It had issues. None were game breaking but it had plenty of bugs and issues. The multi player was also virtually unplayable at release.

Seems like that's the case for 90% of new PC games though.

But I'll get it on PC in a month or two.

The multiplayer is virtually unplayable anyways.

Kind of a proven fact, dummy. Ubisoft porting to PC is always rocky.

I know that, dummy, I meant other games have plenty of port issues as well. GTA4, for example.

Most companies suck at this.

I was listening to a podcast with a reviewer and all he'd say was he was very worried about lagging problems like with Unity so they wouldn't release reviews till day of to see if things could handle it.

That is a terrible excuse. This isn't a MMO like Destiny or WoW. The online elements are secondary to a game like AC.

Dragon Age: Inquisition has online elements, but reviews are already coming out. They just say, "We have no idea as to how the MP will be."

It is a BS excuse and everyone knows it.

I'm going with the idea that they wanted to get as many sales as possible before the reviews hit the web. The sales would've been nowhere near what they are now had these negative reviews been released beforehand.

I lost you there completely lol.

First, Dragon Age Inquisition has online multiplayer, but it isn't part of the campaign. So Inquisition's internet use is not related to the campaign at all.

But both Far Cry and Unity have drop in features, with Far Cry having more of those features from what i understand. So if their programing is messed up, they have much more potential of messing up the campaign than Dragon Age.

And both Dragon Age I and Far Cry have reviews out. A lot of reviews. It has gotten very good reviews.

Far Cry 2 Metacritic
Metacritic

That makes no sense with all of the reviews out.

I was talking about AC:U, not DA:I or Far Cry.

Neither DA:I or Far Cry have review embargoes.

And yes, AC:U has MP that can impact that campaign, but it isn't essential. They could have put out SP only reviews. It isn't as if the reviewers didn't play the game before it was released.

They just couldn't release their reviews until 12 hrs after the game was on sale. They had already played the game.

The reviews would have decreased the sales of Unity significantly.
