im in at $420, already took out a very small profit. not sure if i just want to cash out now or ride it out. I personally don't like the iwatch and i don't think it will be a runaway success like iPhone, iPad, etc. However i don't think i want to sell yet when holiday season is upon us, although apple is now at an all time high.

So that's a 180% gain? My goal is 300% for all my stocks, so I would wait.
ETA: the split threw me off. What's your gain? 80%?

I sold a week or so back around 110. I think it's a great company but just way too dependent on it's iPhone product cycle for it's valuation. 1 or 2 hiccups in the design or another vendor coming around blowing the doors off and apple loses half its value. It's doing a good job trying to diversify but remain true to its loyal consumers. I think google, amazon or Microsoft will be worth more in 10 years.

It's what I keep going over in my head. I have shares I bought almost 7 years ago till now. My lowest in was $108 (pre split)
I bought back in again in 2013 at about $390, Of course, I had bought some at $650 at one point But, even those shares are doing all right for me now
Like you, I don't believe the iWatch will be a huge success, so I have been trying to plan my exit strategy. I will wait until after the holidays and into the new year anyway as I think the climb will continue a bit longer and of course, tax reasons for myself. When to get out though, that's the question...
ETA: Over $114 now

The iwatch might not do much but Apple Pay could be a difference maker.
