We also were making them vs lower end teams

Now we are making them vs the best but we are getting better.

James was amazing last night.

That goes back to the talent pool getting better.

I thought Jozy played well enough to be included in your list.
Never mind the ball rarely made it past midfield after the first period. The SB elite have spoken.

We didn't get blown out by a top 5 in the world Colombia team in front of an "away" crowd while playing a bizarro world lineup and missing several starters. If you don't think that the result is an improvement on how we played 10 years ago then I'm sorry but we live in different USMNT soccer worlds.

We lost 1-0 to Spain's A team in 2008 while trotting out Heath Pearce and Josh fricking Wolff.

Pretty much the same result - though Colombia's first goal was horseshite.

That move that Nguyen engineered was pretty. Hope to see him more next game. If not guess I'm tuning in to watch the Rev next weekend

Had a great time at the match even if it was not the best result. Managed to catch one of the balls into the stands (the one deflected off the post into the AO section during the first half). I really liked Nguyen when he came on, he really seemed to allow us to begin pressuring once again.

Heres a link to some of the pictures I took. Sorry for the poor quality, my phone did not like the low lighting and movement apparently.

Y'all think the flag should've gone up on their first?

I really hate how defenses will freeze like that and wait for a flag that isn't coming. If Bedoya keeps playing he gets a foot in Bacca's big touch.

Thought Mix and Fabian were pretty poor. Rubin's runs were outstanding. I like him. And the combo play on Wood's chance -- Beasley to Nguyen to Morales to Wood -- was sexy.

Wood should have buried that chance.

Yeah that was offside all day everyday.
And that's 2 amazing opportunities for Wood in his last 2 games and nothing to show for it

Definitely offside. He took two steps toward the ball.

He feigned taking the ball. Idk how that's not interfering with play.

Looked like this game was played in columbia. why was that? Saw one or two American flags. Were our fans on the other side? Did we have any fans?

It might as well have been a home game for Colombia. I was surprised.

Also still waiting on SCH to post pics.

Outlaws were in the Hammersmith End and we didn't even take up the full end. I'd guess we had maybe 3k fans out of the 24k(?). The rest of the stadium was all Colombia. You can see this to a minor extent in the Album I posted earlier. SCH said he talked with some Colombians that have lived in London for generations.

Disappointing finishing, but I'm seeing some qualities I like out of wood and Rubin. I like the way our young talent is developing.

I think it's time to pass the mantle in the deep midfield to Bradley. He needs to become a better Beckerman. He could be really, really good in that role, and really free up our attack.
