You don't win championships by playing tons of close games

Keeping the game close to the 4th quarter is nice if you are van or kentucky but championship teams are designed to blow teams out. I hope our philosophy will change offensively.

LSU is 24th in the nation and 6th in the SEC in average margin of victory this year......just saying and while playing 4 top 5 teams....

That team lost two games it should never had lost. Also won some nail biters that should have been Blowouts

What about 2002 Ohio State?

I get the principle of what you're saying, and the 2011 LSU team would have backed your thoughts if we played OSU like we should have. I guess I just don't see the point of your thread at all

That wasn't the point

Being 7-3 and using margin of victory ranking to cite as an argument against how LSU can't put teams away is a weak retort.

and being 6th in the SEC in the category also isn't much to brag about anyway

Are we supposed to beat every team by 21+ points? You do realize that by playing in the SEC west we will play some of the top teams in the country, right?

I understand what you're trying to convey, but you did a terrible job at the trying part.

Thanks for this top notch contribution to the board.

You made the point originally

But starting a thread and supporting one based on wrong opinions is a good retort??? Cool bro

Yeah, I'll give the OP that LSU really should have dominated Ole Miss going away, but there was no way LSU was really in a position to beat Alabama by multiple possessions

Blowing the game wide open and putting a team away late sometimes aren't the same thing

I respect your opinion, but you are wrong.

I really don't side with you or the OP

I don't know why he thinks LSU has lost 3 games because of playing opponents too close, and I also don't think the stat you brought up carries much water either

This board amazes me. What a stupid fricking thread. There isn't a coach in the country that says "hey guys let's not score so that we don't win until the 4th." You try to execute your gameplan with minimal mistakes, so that you don't have an Auburn situation where your getting rammed in the arse by half.

Agreed....These Miles haters have pissed away the enjoyment of the golden age of LSU football. Just laughable.....just go cheer for BAMA because the only coach in America better than Miles coaches there. Or do you get more enjoyment out of being miserable.

The stat I brought up proves the original poster has zero idea what he's talking about period. Which most people in this thread agree with.
