Also fumbled, to be fair.

But yes, I would have absolutely loved for him to be a Saint.

I really wanted Landry. He doesn't have the straight line speed that Cooks has but is super physical and has great hands.

Double dipping would have been nice, but we all knew we had issues at CB#2 and no one would have thought we'd need 2 receivers in one year, especially not 2 costing us the first 3 rounds.

We'll be fine. We have Nick Toon waiting for his chance to shine.

We've yet to see Cooks use his straight line speed because he always goes down as soon as he catches.

I'm also not ready to call SJB a bust.

Ingram took a long time to come around, too.

He's been getting behind the defenses the last few weeks

Getting immediately passed up by Dixon, who isn't special or anything, is not a good sign. Ingram could at least get on field early.

Landry looks physical enough to play the split end exclusively, with Cooks mixing it up mostly at slot and playing some flanker. They definitely could have coexisted.

I know that no one here is saying that we should have skipped on Cooks and taken Landry in the 2nd (not that the Saints would have known that he would be available), but Cooks is looking a lot better now that Payton is letting him run routes deeper than ~8 yards.

No, but that is partly because Dixon is a bit of a surprise.

In the perfect world, we would have went John Brown in 3rd, Jarvis Landry in 2nd, and Bradley Roby in the 1st.

Using the 1st round pick, nah. I'm good.

So many extremely talented WR's in this past draft class who are already making an impact.

- Watkins (BUF)
- Evans (TB)
- Odell Beckham (NYG)
- Cooks (NO)
- Benjamin (CAR)
- Matthews (PHI)

- and more
