Anyone have experience with these ac powerline adapter thingamabobs? Basically uses electrical wires as hard-wired internet network.
Do they transmit good enough to plug an xbox into and not have lag for online play? What about streaming movies etc?
Pros/Cons?
TIA

I have researched them and from what I have read, you should expect better performance than if you had used wireless.
Good luck if you make the plunge.

Problem is the Xboxes are older and cant see the 5g wireless network so they need to be hard-wired (which I prefer anyway). Problem is no ethernet plugs in those rooms and they're on first floor and I cant have wires run easily or at all. Router/modem on 2nd floor.

I have the cheap-o 200Mbps version from another company.
They work just fine.. I did one initial test, which was around 40-60Mpbs (105Mbps cable internet).
I assume I might not get a full throughput due to many Wifi connections throughout my household.

Do you think the 500 will be better than the 200 or wont matter? They're only about $15-20 difference I believe

I suppose for internal file transfers, if that's needed, but if it's faster than your internet source, then I doubt it matters much.
I'm not an expert, though.
