Sigh

LSU hasn't tried to make a dual threat passer a pro style passer

Jennings isn't and never has been a dual threat QB, Harris is. Harris is a freshman so he's playing whatever offense best fits the team. If he improves, the offense will evolve.

In this case, I wouldn't put any stock in the star rating. Cam Cameron offered him. If anybody on this board or on rivals is more qualified to make a decision on an offering a high school QB then Cam Cameron then it might would mean something

And of course we don't have perhaps the best dual threat QB in the country committed for next year's class with a great shot at No.2 pro style QB either.

Whens the last time a "dual threat" qb did anything at LSU?

His film looks good, and it's not just because of Lodge. He's got some talent, just looks a little raw.

If I recall he was an Elite 11 QB. But Ill leave it to the recruiting Gurus to affirm that.

yes, four star QB out of GA that was recruited by a lot of schools. No major programs, but still recruited. He did compete in the elite 11, but didn't win. He tore his ACL so missed on some big time offers if I can remember correctly.

Patterson has the best instincts and pocket awareness I've seen in a while. Don't want to label him, but he's like a little bigger, little faster Manziel with morals.

Jennings was offered by Bama, both Landmass schools, Wisconsin, Arky, VT, WVU, Cincinatti, and a bunch of other programs. He was offered pretty much everywhere he showed interest except Georgia.

Not wanting to sound like a dick, but you guys probably should have went for this kid instead...

I just don't see McMillan to be the kind of guy who has the physical and mental makeup to carry a big time college football program on his back if the time comes. Not saying it is, but it just comes across as bait casting for DaMarkus Lodge. Sure you need a guy to add depth. A&M is in a simular position. I'm just surprised Cameron passed on a decent talent in-state.

Jennings was rated 5the best dual threat in country and had an offer from Alabama according to the recruiting sites. He committed early to LSU because he saw an opportunity to play early and it was only a year after our undefeated season. Cam Cameron played no part in the recruitment of jennings because he wasn't here. Most people projected jennings to be a big time QB

Not gonna lie, ULL is getting a stud at QB. He's going to destroy that conference. Great athlete.

It cannot be denied that Georgia knows what the frick is up when recruiting qb's.

LSU should simply go after every qb that Georgia offers....they are head and shoulders above us in evaluating qb talent. Shocker that our best (only) quality passing qb came from their stables.

What do yal think of him.

I'm afraid he may be a bit over rated and would be no better than what LSU has now. Sorry for feeling that way.

I like McMillan's game tape. He throws a pretty deep ball, and I think he can be a solid back-up down the road. It's a win for LSU because we get some depth at QB and strengthen our ties to Lodge IMO.

ETA: I prefer McMillan over Pellerin FWIW.

Smart staff. Not signing a QB every year = Dumb staff

What if Harris gets injured in 2017? You want a green QB who doesn't know the plays. Cracks me up how ranters don't get this. It's as though we're not living through it AT THIS VERY MOMENT!

I'm sure the kid is pretty good, but I definitely think Lodge is the ultimate goal.
