This will be fun and maybe a cause for serious playoff reform.

Could have been 7-3 right now and 5th, but 6-4 and 6th place is fine.

They showed resiliency. That was a tough loss in Portland. I honestly thought that was going to deflate them for the Kings game. It looked really bad early on, but they fought hard for that win. My only complaint is AD still not getting enough touches down the stretch. That's unacceptable.

Totally agree. Monty has to see that.
Also, the SW is 1st, 2nd, 5th, 6th, and 7th in the standings right now. Unreal.

None of the top 8 teams in the west have lost to a team below 500. I think the combined record is something like 40-0 against sub .500 teams

Monty needs to tell his guards "If you dont get at least 2 TOs a game from forcing the ball to AD on alleyoops, im going to sit you"

Rivers definitely had one of those against Sac Town.
Pels are 5th in Hollingers Power Rankings today.

If the SW is still holding 5 of the top 8 seeds in the West in three weeks or so, Grantland needs to do a big write-up on the division.

If OKC continues to lose with Westbrook and Durant out I really like our chances of getting into the playoffs. I know we can stay ahead of Sacto and Phoenix.

The west is going to go 6-0 against "tough" east matchups. Can they just change the rules midseason? This is going to be ridiculous

If things were to stay as they are, I would be and am terrified of Golden State.

9 of the ten best teams in the nba are in the west

San Antonio wins by 2 bc Lebron can't dribble against them but he can put up 35 against us.

Dallas wins by a couple bc JJ Barea hit like 4 shots in the last two minutes.

Phoenix wins by 2 bc Van Gundy somehow used all 100 timeouts before their last possession when they needed one.

Memphis, thank goodness, somehow lose bringing them to a whopping two losses

Can a damn Pelican catch a break?
SA beats Cle by 2; 7-4
LAC beats ORL by 24; 6-4
DAL beats WAS by 3; 9-3
PHO beats DET by 2; 7-5

Lord knows memphis is going 11-1 by beating toronto by 2

ETA: woohoo I was wrong, Memphis loses to toronto by 4. LOL

We were missing 5 players tonight in Tony Allen, Courtney Lee, Beno Udrih, Jon Leuer, and Kosta Koufos due to a stomach bug. That's 2 starters and 3 key rotation player. Throw in Calathes being out for 2 more games and we had a sort of skeleton crew. I was impressed we didn't get blown out.

excuses!

Memphis is going to lead the pack for a while, I don't see us catching up. The teams around us though, they need to LOSE.

I was honestly expecting lose before that was announced. Toronto's margin of victory at home i something like +12, so I'm just happy with the performance.

We've got the Celtics & Clippers at home this weekend, so hopefully they can get to 12-2 before going on a 4 game west coast road trip.
