Why isn't there a Dave & Buster's in BR? I went to one in Houston and had a blast! I think it would do well here. Would the great lads of the OT go?

Check out "Quarters" then you'll see what a D&B in BR would be like

Because they enjoy customers with intelligence and good dental history.

I've never been. I don't get the appeal, though.

Unfortunately, I've been to Quarters. It's terrible. Nothing like D&B. It's a run down arcade.

They advertise enough... you'd think it was the hottest spot in SELA.

Anything nice in Baton Rouge would eventually be over run by the thugs and criminals because La refuses to staff and pay appropriate levels of police. Just look over the last 20 years how the demographic of Baton Rouge has migrated and all the then 'nice' things have been ruined. You can only keep moving shite so far outside the city until you take a stand at some point and fight violence with violence.

That circus that we call the Metro Council would never approve the zoning.
I've never seen such a racially divided group of elected officials in my life...

Would a D&B work in the area around Juban Rd.? Or Town Center, or some other generic pseudo-upscale area that's less riff-raffy? Obviously anything you try to put next to other run-down garbage will also turn into run-down garbage.

I think D&B only works in really large markets where you have a lot of folks in & out for conventions & meetings. In BR, everyone will go once or twice & it will be packed for the first few months, then business will fall off a cliff. It might work in New Orleans, but never in BR.
