"We had boiled some crawfish and were sitting around, and had eaten all the crawfish. My dad said, 'We ought to try a couple of chickens.' We went to Winn-Dixie and got two chickens, boiled them and took them out. Everybody was full of crawfish, but people went after that chicken.
"So we did it every time after that," Kerry said. "That chicken turned into turkey."

I could see that being the biggest problem. Maybe if you prepared the water with the idea of boiling turkeys. As in, use liquid boil over dry or made your own seasoning without as much salt. Also, boiling A LOT of potatoes first.
I'm just thinking out loud here.

I would think you could make a pretty good turkey in the style of Pekin Duck by dropping a turkey in a boiling vat of nicely seasoned water. Pull it out, let air dry, and then roast at high temperature.

I do a boiled chicken where it is mostly cooked, then grill it to finish it off. Amazing.
You would also boil then smoke.
