Iphone 5S turns off once the battery level gets aroun 30-50%... Fix??

So company upgraded me to the IPhone 5S a month or 2 ago and it is upgraded to the current IOS system. The phone will turn off when the battery gets between 30-50%, when I plug it in it turns right on showing 30-50% battery left. Is there a fix for this problem or am I just screwed until the next update?

I had a similar problem with my phone once. I took it to apple and they exchanged it

That is a known issue. Make an appoint with Apple Store and they will replace the battery.

If apple won't replace the battery. Order one off of amazon and do it yourself. It isn't too difficult.

I did that with my 4S, worked wonders. But the phone is literally like a month old.....

If the phone is only a month old, then it's under warranty, just have Apple replace it. It's defective. Why is this hard?

Sorry man. It's ONE month old? Was that a typo? Make a Genius bar appt and get a new one. What are we missing here?

I was hoping it was just an IOS issue that would be fixed in the next update...
I ordered a new battery on amazon last night, don't have time to deal with Apple.

So you have a defective phone that's under warranty that you're going to attempt to fix yourself, knowing that if replacing the battery doesn't fix it or there are other issues at hand, or if you ever have a different issue with it in the future, your warranty is now completely void and Apple won't do shite for you?
I mean, I do this line of work for a living, but if something breaks that's under warranty, you bet your arse I'm bringing it in to get fixed. Apple is likely just going to swap you out a new one in the store, why go through this trouble?

Because it's hunting and turnaround season and I don't have an hour or two to spend in the apple store. It's a company phone, if it breaks down the road they will replace it. The $20.00 for the battery and tools is well worth saving 1-2 hours of my time. I've changed batteries and screens on all of my iPhone 4s, so I'm sure this will be a 3-5 minute fix.
Thanks for the help guys
