How do ya'll do this? Move the box all the time? Run a HDMI from a box inside? Wireless HDMI transmitter?

My tv will be about 30' away from a stb but they are both on external walls and would be a HUGE PITA to run a hdmi to.

Suggestions?

don't know what you mean by STB…

But I have a tv mounted outside and run a long HDMI cable through the wall to my bedroom where the receiver and cable box are…run IR extender through the wall as well so I can use the remotes to the cable and receiver

I have one and I have two options:

1. HDMI cable out from avr run in the wall to the outside.. Long thin redmere HDMI cable. I use the dish TV android app to control the DVR which is inside.

2. Chromecast. I can run Plex Netflix and watchespn and never have to fool with the HDMI at all.

I Bought this unit for our church almost 2 years ago. We've got a straight shot about 90' away from the sound/video booth to the tvs. Never had a single issue.

Is there a way to split an HDMI signal?

I have a AVR with my Tivo (antenna, i dont have cable), apple TV, etc) and would like to connect to a second TV also, which would basically just be a monitor.

Absolutely. This is a very poor drawing, but it's what I setup for our church so we didn't have to run a ton of wires through the nearly non accessible attic.
