He'll be in the rotation once he's ready. But that is the way A&M is going to frame it.

Of course, LSU is going to say all those guys are in the NFL, Brick coached in the NFL and knows what it takes to get you there. While A&M... well, they sure do like to throw it around a lot and have fancy uniforms, huh?

My favorite thing about him is he's a born leader.

I'm not going to go looking for the tweet from last summer, but Daylon said exactly the same thing after his Auburn visit....and he ain't been back.

Except we're talking about Malik Jefferson whose mom plays a big role in his college decision. Plus, there's a big difference between a visit over the summer and a visit on a Saturday night in Death Valley against the Tide.

ETA: Obviously, there's a lot of catching up to do if we want to land Jefferson. But his reaction and comments after the visit have to be encouraging if you're an LSU fan.

Both are hard to read, but I think you have a better shot with Daylon than Malik. I would caution reading too much into any one Daylon tweet / interview. He seems to go back and forth on things a good bit with momentum, but there is no denying that he is seriously considering LSU.

Sounds a lot like what we were trying to convince ourselves of with Smoky Noil last year. Sometimes you can't ignore the writing on the wall.

It's odd that Coach Sumlin has always been able to step in at the last minute and prevent Daylon from visiting LSU, but not this time.
Daylon is already feeling the pressure from A&M because he was/is a leader of that class, along with Murray. He feels responsibility for that class, so this past weekend has thrown him for a loop. He's stated as such. Still think it will be a difficult flip.

A win at A&M certainly wouldn't hurt.
