...and pulled up a few feet at a red light to allow me to turn R behind him. AMAZING.

First time I haven't had to toot horn and plead, and I'll have been here a year tomorrow. Don't understand how long they think the front end is on the cars here.

Texas drivers are far more courteous than Louisiana drivers.

They are probably better spellers as well.

this

it is very common in west Texas for people to pull to the shoulder to let you pass on a 2 lane road

never have I seen that anywhere in LA

I've never had that happen. Every damn Texan I ever drive behind goes 60 in the left lane and angrily flips you off when you pass them after flashing like 10 times for them to move the frick over into the obviously unoccupied right lane.

He doesn't have to do that. And in most cases there is not actually enough room.

yep

I watched some douchebag lose his shite the other day, honking, flipping the car in front of him off, screaming out the window because he wanted the car to move up a bit so he could turn right

the car couldn't move up any further

I'd flip you off too for flashing your lights at me. Right after I turned my wiper fluid on and break checked your arse.

I don't pull up for people like you. Wait your turn.

I assume you'd move over if you were driving like a slow arse grandma all alone in the left lane so that wouldn't be necessary.
I was joking about flashing a bunch though, but one flash isn't a big deal and should cause you to just go ahead and move over if it is safe.
