Do you give $ to everyone? It's like a Larry David situation.

Mailman
UPS delivery guy (really important especially for Amazon Prime users)
Gardener
Kid's Teacher
Cleaning lady

Any others?

Mailman - $0

UPS delivery guy (really important especially for Amazon Prime users) - $0. Knocks drops and runs!

Gardener - I am the gardener

Kid's Teacher - $11,200 a year. Let the Union figure her pay out.

Cleaning lady - $100. Plus she gets 15% every trip.

At Home Nurse for in-laws - $200 and well worth it on top of her salary.

Any others?

I used to believe this until the wife told me that they expected stuff. She reminded me about how the UPS guy hides the packages out of sight so they aren't stolen by roving Uptown youths, or how ALL the parents give the teacher at least a gift card.

There are a few waiters at our favorite restaurants who always take care of us that will get a nice tip around Christmas.

UPS guy I get, but the mail man? Maybe if I lived in some quaint town or something that'd make sense to me.

Only person we give extra holiday cheer to.

I guess the UPS guy isn't a bad idea since we use the shite out of Prime.

Even less inclined to give them anything then.

I generally just tip better around Christmas. Our mailman misdelivers all the time. UPS guy doesn't hide packages (not that he needs to around here). In fact, he doesn't even ring the doorbell or knock. Also misdelivers.

My haircut lady retired.

I might give something to the daycare workers, but some are more deserving than others.

In my old building, I gave each doorman $50 and maintenance guys $25. Came out to be about $600 total. My new building sucks and I just moved in July so I won't be giving any bonuses (maybe to 2 guys). The girl who cuts my hair gets $50.

Housekeeper - one week paid vacation and christmas bonus equaling one week salary.

Everyone else - bonus equaling one week salary

I don't not give Christmas money to people I do not pay for a service. Eg waste collection.

I do too, but we have one guy who delivers about 80% of the time, he rings the bell, talks to my wife, etc. Good guy.

I may break the cleaning ladies off an extra $50. This is the first year I've had them during christmas. Other than that, regular tips for eating out, etc...

Always give extra to my stylist and her backup.
(It is better to look good than to feel good)

The UPS guy is a good idea, as are the trash men.
