No, Robert Plant did not rip up an $800 million offer to reunite Led Zeppelin

If Robert Plant declines LZ reunion performances because he's no longer able to perform those songs without AutoTune assistance then I applaud his artistic honesty.
How could 2014 Robert Plant's voice sing at all like 1970 Robert Plant's voice? I don't think it's possible, so, why should he fake it or give a performance that's nothing like his famous performances?
For money? If he's comfy with his wealth-level now, then, I applaud him for declining for artistic reasons.

I think an stripped down, acoustic set would be ideal at this point in their lives and would probably be more attractive to Plant.

Probably because he stills tours and does classic Zeppelin songs in all of his shows. This link was a show only a month ago.
