I would say yes, this is the first time we have given him consistent carries and he has now rushed for 100 yards three straight times. Now 11th in rushing while missing 3 games and having a bye week. he is also tied for 4th in TDs.

Feed Mark Sean, feed the man.

No, once The other RBs are healthy, Payton will go back to giving Ingram 8-10 carries per game.

i think we try, but at the end of the day he may want too much. As you all know running backs are a dime a dozen and we need help at CB way more than we need a RB.

yes. everyone is saying he will want too much. RBs dont really get big contracts anymore. we will be able to handle it.

If he's as smart as we think he is, he won't do that.

Ingram should get 20+ touches a game.
Pierre 5-8
Khiry 5-8

I'm starting to think the arrogance far outweighs the smarts.

If he demands an inflated price because the fact that it is a contract year lit a fire under his arse, I say let him go.

Will be interesting to see if yall can match what he wants since yall are currently 19 million over the salary cap for next year.

You keep posting this over and over again while ignoring that this started last season

No. He's never been able to stay healty and his career history shows about 6 good games in 4 years. I like Ingram. He's running hard and you've never had to question his desire. That said, some team will overpay. I just don't think (hope) it will be the Saints.

Also, I think Robinson could easily get 100+ yards with 25 carries.

I fear we won't have enough to pay him, but having him on the field keeps the defense on their heels. I really hope he is resigned, but I don't see it happening.

he's been giving him 20+ carries a game for 3 straight weeks. But yeah way too arrogant to give him the ball. What a stupid comment.

Overthecap has updated and you can play around with it for the 2015 offseason. From the looks of it, its going to hurt a lot of feelings this year.

I'm assuming the cap actually goes up to 145 (it went from 123->133 and the new deal didn't even happen yet).

So we're at 159.5 (15mil over for ease)

Jahri Evans with a June 1 designation cut: Saves 7.5.mil

Marques Colston with a June 1 desgination cut: Saves 7.0mil

Brees extension/restructure reducing the cap hit from 26.4mil to somewhere around 16-17mil, so I'll say 9.0mil savings.

hawthorne gets cut outright 3.0mil savings

That's 26.5 mil, which would put us at 133.0mil.

That'd give us about 12.0mil to re-sign Ingram, Haralson, P. Robinson, Joe Morgan, Tyrunn Walker, and Deaderick.

Maybe make a few under the radar FA signings (ILB, OG, or CB).

Robinson with 25 carries wouldn't get 100 (3.8ypc) vs. Minny and barely would get it vs. TB (4.2ypc).

He's good, but Ingram is just playing better through the 3 games as a lead back vs. Khiry's 3 games.

In comparison, Murray has never been healthy, neither has Mathews. Murray blew up this year with a solid line and he's ran for more carries through this season than he ever did in a single year. Maybe he's over the "injury" bug, and it is possible Ingram can too. They were random injuries.

I'd offer 4 years at 26 million.
