Prayers for Drew Moscona (updated with Thanksgiving pic pg 3)

Matt announced on his show today that his baby son Drew will have heart surgery tomorrow. For those of you who do not know the back story on this here are 2 links.

During the past 48 hours, Drew's condition has worsened. Despite his new valve issue, he had been successfully weaning off his medications and ventilator while increasing his feeds. Those were all positive signs that Drew's inevitable valve repair might be a ways off.
This morning when we got to Drew's bed, he was very swollen and obviously retaining a lot of fluid. The fact that he has been unable to shed water weight despite being given diuretics tells the doctor that the valve issue has caught up to Drew.
We had a chance to speak with Dr. McKenzie briefly this morning and his feeling is that Drew will have to go into surgery either Monday or Tuesday. If things worsen over the weekend, they will be able to operate sooner, but we are hopeful that won't be necessary.
For Drew, this procedure is complicated by his anatomy. Because his valves were formed atypically, this repair is atypical. We do know, though, that there is nobody we would rather have performing this procedure than Dr. McKenzie.
I'd rather not even type out what the potential downside would be if this surgery is unsuccessful. We continue to be guided by faith, knowing that God has brought us to this point and will continue to carry our family until we bring Drew home. We just refuse to believe anything else.
Please continue praying for Drew and encourage others to do so.
