Talk me into siding with the Templars.
I want to do things differently this playthrough, but those guys were such dicks in Val Royeaux. Hard to stomach siding with those clowns.
I have read the reward is better with the Templars.
I've done what I can in the Hinterlands, the Mire and the Storm Coast so I need to move the story along and I can't pull the trigger on the Templars.
I guess I could go with, I know what the mages have been up to and those clowns just about destroy the world to save a sick kid.

I'll side with them my second play through just to do things differently

The mission you side with them is pretty cool, a mind warp of sorts.

If you side with mages the mission is definitely a mind warp too

Well that's about all I know

Might be same mission with detail changes or maybe I'm thinking of different mission

Consider how you handled the a-hole in the mage mission. You are afforded the same opportunity. (sort of)
And holy shite batman. Envy on NM I have <10% health to start fight on all characters and I am level 7. I don't know if I can pull it off.
ETA: Then I turned around and saw the supply cache

Yeah. I just went with the Main mage was a douche too. Glad I did the templars to mix it up. That was one ugly demon.

Something screwball is going on.
In the storm coast, I heard the dragon giant fight but by the time I got there they were gone and I never saw the giant.
Just started the Oasis and the giant in the oasis near the camp is also missing.

I couldn't find the SC giant either. I know SC and Oasis are engaged in fights when you discover them. Maybe they just lost for some reason? The SC dragon could easily wipe the giant at least.

75 hour playthrough completed a couple of days ago, lots of stuff left alone. 0 dragons killed . Will try a Qunari next time. Have to mess with the Keep since I didn't get to see a certain Origins character.

Who is your favorite group tank if you are playing a mage or rogue?
I'm playing Mage and have been using iron bull as tank. Like his specialty to help draw agro, cause good damage, and heal himself

Apparently he hates Scruffy
Posted on 12/20/14 at 7:54 pm to Alandial
No, Scruffy just thinks Solas is a turd.

Think there may be a glitch which will piss me off 20 hours in.
I assume Mages replace the red templars if you side with the templars. Oasis is empty. I haven't fought anything yet.
Spots that I know had templar mobs, are now empty.

Is Viv's specialty better than rift mage for running around?
From what I've read it's a little OP as well. One of the reasons I'm running with her.
Just wish she wasn't such bitch. I purposefully didn't run with her because of that. But then I found out her knight enchanter specialty is badass and I feel I gotta run with her now
Posted on 12/20/14 at 8:39 pm to hawgfaninc
So after about an hour I finally beat the dutchess and she glitched and I can't talk to her. As good as this game is that's the second major glitch I've come across to where I can't finish a fricking quest.

I didn't think about Iron Bull. His specialty is doing more damage when he takes damage right? Does that include damage to a guard? I've always kept him as a battle master/ two handed guy but rarely use him now that I run two mages.

That is odd. In 105 hours on first playthrough and 20 on this one, I've never had a quest glitch.
I'm on PC. Could be problems on other consoles but so far I could complete everything.
I did have to restart the game once to talk to one guy but turning the game off and coming back made the conversation dealio work again.
