Legit as frick Big Ed... Legit as frick. He has the potential to be 1 of the top LBs in his NFL draft, whenever that is. Wouldn't say he's a 1st rounder, strictly becaus MLBs is 1 of those positions that tend to slide. Like last year, everyone knew Mosley was a top 15 player in this draft, ended up being drafted in the 20s.

But yes he def could be 1 of the top LBers in th draft whenever he decides to go pro.

The thing that I have noticed is that when the team (in this case defensive) does well its members get rewarded. LSU Defense since the UF game has thrown up some ridiculous numbers against some top five teams. KB, DH, KA, and JA, and TW are all candidates for All SEC and All- American for preseason next season. I think KB has great upside potential in two more seasons if he stays that long.

One reason I see for Hunter to stay is that I think he can push his draft stock way up in a senior year as an AA.

Not as good as Welter.

But fortunately he developed overnight from a second-stringer to a high school quality player, to All-America.

Players routinely develop this much in a matter of a week or two.

Damned good. His absence on the field was felt IMMEDIATELY. Like the next fricking play. I'm generally back on Coach Chavis' bandwagon (Saturday's last second choke notwithstanding), but how the hell Welter kept the job as long as he did is beyond me.

Good enough to not allow a 3rd and 18 conversion on up the middle draw.

Didn't they go right down the field as soon as he left the game? 3rd and 17 and a draw for the first. No way that happens with him in there.

And it beckons a seriously legitimate question:

With our recruiting prowess and advantages, why do we not have backups readily available?

Forget the fact that Clif Garrett has respiratory issues. Are they talking HAE, PID or alpha-1? Who knows, it might be something else.

But he is a freshman. There should be a 2012 guy that has combined ability with playbook knowledge.
We should be able to plug them in and go with minimal (not zero....not delusional here) hiccups.
