Has anyone here played here?

I've been trying new courses around the metro area and haven't played here yet.. Any opinions/reviews?

TIA

Course is in good shape, really nice greens for the price. I think it is like 16 bucks after 1pm. There are always some muddy spots even after no rain for two weeks because they weren't allowed to improve the course after Katrina with the insurance/gov't money, only restore it. Can be painfully slow at times watching four brothas spend like 10 minutes grinding out putts on each green. One of the best values in the city though.

I played it a while back. The layout is godawful. condition was as expected. Maybe worth the try for you, but I don't see myself going back anytime soon.

I just played here and the course was in pretty good shape. Greens are in much better shape than City Park and the new clubhouse is really nice.

Yes it's a lot better than City Park as far as grass is concerned. The layout is pretty straight and not much going on, but it's cheap and pretty long for Nola. I like it every now and then.

I've heard good things about the clubhouse.. What's so special about it?

I'm not too particular about the layout since I'm not the most consistent golfer around, as long as playing conditions are nice, that's all that matters to me

So in your opinion, is it worth a shot?

Clubhouse is brand new. Course was totally redesigned after Katrina and is pretty good. Not the hardest course but well worth the price. As mentioned pace can be slow since every brotha thinks he's Tiger.

Played this past Friday. Great for the price. Fun course. Gets a lot of. play. 2 of us finished in under 4 hours. They don't require twosomes to pair up. I enjoyed it.

Nice course, maybe the bang for your buck in the city. Plays long and offers a good challenge
