warnings? I'll never forget looking up on the south end zone scoreboard at halftime seeing the tornado symbol. Thank goodness Legion Field had astroturf as that field would have been destroyed. It must have rained about 4-5 inches from the middle of the second quarter through halftime.
Strange game. LSU won, 16-14. Looked like it was going to be a rout after scoring in no time on the first possession. Michael Brooks blocked a punt early in the third that was run back (or maybe gave us good field position). Alabama had the ball for over 40 mins, but other than the td's couldn't get past the LSU 35.
This was Alabama's sixth loss ensuring their first losing season since 1957.

I was there, first LSU game I ever attended. People several rows up were kicking the metal bleachers, I swear at 10 years old it sounded just like a tornado. But god himself couldn't have pried me off that seat.

I was there and sat through it all.
I think others in my family left. Lightning scared 'em off.

Was in Tiger Band during that. We performed at halftime in the midst of it. Wickes told us if we heard sirens or saw a tornado to run off the field.

Was there with my dad. As a 15 year old, I convinced my dad to stay.
