10 games vs 10 games but this gives you an idea on how they compare. Jefferson had 2 starts his freshman year, and jennings had one (bowl game) so this is a pretty decent comparison of second year players with a game or two of starting experience.

jefferson through 10 games in 2009

122-210 for 58%
1785 yards
14 TD's
5 INT's

through 12 games:

Jordan Jefferson 2009 sophomore stats:

2166 yards
7.3
17 TD's
7 INT's
137.2 rating

rushing: 112 for 171 yards 1.53 avg 1 TD
keep in mind jefferson was sacked 37 times in 12 games

Jennings has a better attitude. Other than that, it's obviuos that he's not as good as Jefferson was, and there's really no upside with him. This is about as good as he is going to get.

Our passing game is a joke. Plain and simple. I don't even know why we put a QB on the field at this point.

To imagine Harris is not even on that level, yet.

Jennings is the worst LSU QB that I have ever seen, except for Andrew Hatch perhaps.

I like the kid. He has a good attitude and he is a fighter. He seems to lead the team well. He just cannot throw the ball or complete passes, which is pretty important for a QB.

Anyone who honestly thought they were comparable is a sidewalk fan. JJ's sophomore year wasn't bad, and he had as little help as any LSU QB I can remember (run game and line were dog shite that year). A small cadre just wouldn't shut the frick up about the backup and did everything to make it seem as though Hefferson was sooooo bad that year.

Brandon Lafell (Sr) and Richard Dickson (Sr) are significantly better than any receiver currently on LSU's roster. Dural Dupre & Quinn might match them one day, but not yet.

What do you think Jennings' stats on the year are if he had Landry and Beckham back? What do you think his stats last game are if he had those two?

I said it on Friday, and no one listened, and suprisingly, no one still seems to be listening. But the failures of this years' passing attack are as much on the receivers as they are on the QB.

I still don't understand why JJ regressed after his sophomore year. He wasn't a world beater, but he was still effective. Just doesn't make sense.

JJ also had the worst backfield and o-line of the Les Miles era that year.

I'm with you. He seems to be a leader, has a strong work ethic, everything you could want from your QB except the ability to actually play QB.

He can't consistently throw the ball, and the only pass he can throw well is the deep fly route and even that has dropped off since defense's have figured that out. We also can't even switch it up and run the option with him because he can't make the correct read to save his life.

I like the guy plenty, I think he'd be a great guy to have on the sideline. He clearly is not the answer as the starting QB however.

Jefferson was fine in 2009. He wasn't a gamebreaker, but with a decent O-line and running game, he would've been a decent QB. 2010 and 2011 were different stories though, and the calls for Lee were justified.
