I guess it depends on how many games they are out. If they go 7-18 or something with them out, I could see them having a hard time climbing back in.
ETA: at that point they'd have to win 75% of their remaining games to get to 50 wins. They could do it, but it would be hard.

Yea, by no means am I saying that they are a lock but I think they'd have to dig one hell of a hole to miss the playoffs.
That being said, the west is so damn tough. If they don't figure something out they will find themselves in the previously stated hole. I think we find a lot out about Scotty Brooks as a coach in these next couple of months.
