What are our current chances at nabbing Patterson?

Our offensive coordinator is a former NFL offensive coordinator who has worked with the likes of Drew Brees, Philip Rivers and Joe Flacco. If I was a QB in high school, I'd kill for an LSU offer. Mettenberger tore it up under him, Jennings is just not a QB.

So just a 6'5 250lb freak of a man with a rocket arm, RB speed, Wr agility. Yea I'll be on the lookout

Based on what I've read, LSU's chances of landing Patterson are as good as any other school's chances, if not better. Many recruiting experts may even consider him at least slight lean to LSU at this point. Anyone who can update if things have changed regarding LSU's recruiting of him, please post it.

And I didn't mean to slight any other QB recruit on the opening thread, his name just came to mind. I really meant how you posters on the Rant think QB's, both high school and JUCO, react to the play calling and QB development of Miles & Cameron.

I believe LSU and Ole Miss are his top 2....USC I believe is in there but I don't see him going that far away. Ole miss has been pulling out all the stops for him from what his family has told me and from the looks of it they want him bad. I don't think LSU should put all there eggs in one basket but they have franks already commited so I believe they need to make Patterson a BIG priority if they haven't already. I know for a fact he hangs out with multiple LSU targets for 2015 and 2016 alot. Not saying they will all follow him but I'd put my money on it a few of em will go where he goes. I hope he ends up in purple and gold when it's all said and done. He's definetly the real deal.

From what I've seen on film, I think Franks might be a little better overrall than Patterson. Just my opinion.

Ehhhh I can't disagree cause I haven't seen franks except for a couple of camps but have seen Patterson a lot and anyone who has seen him play in person knows he has NFL potential.

Polish prince always says this and I believe it. Kids see it differently for the most part. They see it as they can make a difference. Now past that I don't know. Then it probably comes down to other factors if two schools are equal there.

F Franks is the real deal. The Tigers have their QB of the future locked in.

Ha yeah the same was said about Jennings, rivers, etc when we signed em! Nobody is locked in...an I can promise if Patterson and franks end up coming to LSU franks will have to earn every bit of that starting job cause I promise Patterson is no scrub that's gonna let him have it....also playing baseball at LSU as well will definetly give Patterson an edge. He will have to adjust back and forth from throwing different balls specially since franks is a pitcher. So your crazy if you think franks is a "lock" as the starter

The thing is, Shea has phenomenal instincts that cannot be taught.

I would think an elite qb would love to come here even though we are run first. Can you imagine if we had a qb that could throw and stretch the field what that would do to our running game? Oh lawd!

I'm sorry, I don't want to get into a Franks vs Patterson debate. Let's get em both and let the competition make both of them better.

Yes he does. He is just fun to watch! He can make any throw and his pocket awareness is out of this world! I really don't know who to compare him to honestly.... He's like a mobile AJ Mccarron but bigger faster stronger. Regardless of where he does he will be a great QB just hope it's LSU
