Does this game effect how Shea Patterson & other QBs feel about LSU?

Will they see opportunity, or will they see an offensive style and type of play calling that makes them want to come to LSU?

I'd guess that it will vary from recruit to recruit, but I hope that they've seen the offense when we had a quarterback that the coaches were comfortable letting throw the ball.

Last year...

Mett-3100 yards passing
Beckham-1100 yards receiving
Landry-1200 yards receiving
Hill-1400 yards rushing

Hopefully Jennings or Harris (or both) will make great strides over the next 10 months.

If they are confident in their abilities, and saw what Mett did last year, they should want to come here. Add to the fact that Jennings is a senior in 2016 and Harris is a junior.

And imo, we will be much better in the passing game next year, and that will make it much easier for them.

The Tiger Stadium atmosphere had to make a big impression on them. This game should pay huge dividends in recruiting.

And Jennings was 8-26 for 76 yards. No recruit is going to look at that stat line and blame the coaches for not calling more passes.

If he is confident that he can complete a forward pass, I think it guarantees he comes

Seeing as Patterson's older brother is sitting right next to Cam Cameron every game, I'd think he has a little more insight to the offensive gameplan than most average recruits.

If they have the confidence to know that they could have made those throws that Jennings missed, then no.

Feleipe Franks isn't bothered and is 100-percent committed to being a Tiger -- and that's all whom I care about

Does that mean you think he will be better than Shea?

It will be cool to see how are offense develops with Franks here. He's more of a spread type right? Maybe we'd have an Auburn-like offense led by Franks, that'd be interesting

You can bet your arse that opposing coaches will get in these kids head "Les Miles has never developed a high school recruit into an NFL QB. Why go play for him and hand off 50 times a game?"

Because Mettenberger wasn't developed at all.

Jennings is a second year player and they're waiting to trust Harris more, IMO.

If I were a QB, I would feel like I cam come right in and compete because the ones there already appear that they aren't great.

But again, there are still 3 more years to see what Harris turns into, which, I think will be VERY good. So does all more people.

It's funny, Harris will be VERY good on one hand, and on the other, can't develop qbs. Rant posters having their cake and eating it too.

If I was a QB, I would think a Pro Style offense we run would be appealing. The only problem with our Pro Style offense is that we don't have a quarterback that can complete the necessary pass to take the pressure off the run. If one of these guys thinks he can complete passes, he probably thinks he could start over Jennings his first year...and he'd be right.

It should make them confident they can come in and compete. I am more concerned with how it will affect the WR recruits.
