Bamas band owned them. Having to rely on piped in music to get the crowd goin?

Way to focus on the really important stuff.
Clearly, this is why we lost.

Hate hearing about this... when I was at LSU from 00-04 I had some great times in the stands and TGBFTL rocked it out...
I blame social media, spoiled fans, and capitalism ( )
I would never wish this upon my Tigers, but I almost... wish we we pull a Hallman for a few years so fans would learn to appreciate what LSU has and what makes Tiger Stadium magic.
welp... I'll always have '03 Georgia... loudest game I have ever been to, and I think loudest game in Tiger Stadium period.

They had chances to shine, play neck, Oweo, anything.. But were so scared of STTDB that they just sat there silent. Sad.

The band died when Frank stepped down and LSU went cheap, safe, or whatever the frick it was to promote Roy King.
He's a dud.

I heard from a current band member that our band got booed leaving the stadium.
Hate on their song choices (or lack thereof) all you want, but they don't deserve getting booed. If you think they do, you can take your phony school "appreciation" elsewhere.

They have been very bad. How many times she we start up the first down song then stop because they started it way too late? Then it was outright embarrassing when they played pregame during piped in music. Half time has been a joke all year.

I'll defend the first down cheer flops tonight, the band was waiting for the piped in music to stop.
But if we're not hearing "hey fighting tigers" or some other LSU song, I would rather hear the piped in music than more "Ants Marching" or "Keep em Separated".

Geez, sounds like we are losing in every facet of our lives to Bama?

Holy shite, I didn't realize it was that bad.. Just search lsu band on Twitter and you'll see people talking shite about how the band sucked, played shitty music over and over, refused to play music to get the crowd hyped, and instead just let the piped in music take over, and to top it off they didn't play the alma mater at the end and Bama shoved it in our face and played "happy" as the fans left the stadium. That is an embarrassment... What a joke.

Yes it did. They play Earth Wind and Fire and we play Yankee Doodle Dandy. WTF

Football is a top 15 program but the band is definitely not. Youtube Ohio State marching band and watch number 1. GBFTL is not even close to being a top college band.

The band is a shell of its former self.

Roy King is a complete and utter piece of shite, on top of being a lazy, talentless hack.

See above.
My nephew just graduated after coming to LSU on a band scholarship. No joke, he was one of the most talented kids you will ever see pick up an instrument, and the level of disgust and disdain within the band itself for Roy that he describes is absolutely shocking.
They never should have picked Roy over the lady (who's name escapes me right now) who had been groomed to take take over when the previous director quit.
