we're actually literally 5 games in. but that's literally close enough.
I'm happy AD said "frick your play call" and put it in his own hands to win. that's what he needs to do.

the last play was called for Jrue, but AD took it in his own hands when he saw an opening to the basket.

Excuse me while I pump some sunshine..
We know what we have in AD, but man this guy has a sweet stroke. His shooting is legit, and it makes him damn near impossible to guard.
It's early in the season but the Jrue Holiday trade arguments should stop now. Probably my favorite player. The guy is consistent and smart, averaging 14&6 while not controlling the ball half the time. His defense is as advertised.
Tyreke...17/9/6 seems to be turning the corner!?! There will be nights where he hero balls, but he seems to be buying into his role. This offense needs him to penetrate, but he is dishing the ball. I'll take this 5 game sample from Reke for the rest of the season
EG will never be worth the money, but he will be fine contributor.
Asik is exactly what we new we were getting, and I am very pleased in is defense (it's legit).
3-2 and Ryno has played poorly.. The poor play won't last long, and it's nice to see AR giving us some quality minutes off the bench.
The bench isn't great and the team isn't complete yet but man this year, and the future looks very bright.

I looked at it again and the play monty drew up probably would've gotten Jrue a layup too. Kawhi was close on hell but Jrue would've been open.

I know I've watched the Pelicans play on that channel. Maybe you need a certain package to get the channel or maybe it only shows up when they play? I'm not too sure on that.

Maybe. Not too sure Holiday was looking for the ball near the rim on that first cut or that Davis had an angle to hit him.
But watching it again, it looks like they were setting up double down screens for Anderson in the corner and Holiday slipped it to cut to the rim. Maybe that was the pass or he was going to post up on that opposite block? Still not sure about the passing angle.
Either way, the spacing was nice. Gordon stayed wide and sucked Green away from offering any help on Davis or as Holiday was coming through. The design gave the players options and freedom and it at least put the ball in the best player's hands.
Very weird that it wasn't designed to end up with that player though.
Edit: Having Evans screen (or at least pretend to) for Anderson off ball was very clever
